Screening & Discussion: 8th Annual Beer Culture Summit, Beer Culture Center, 8 May 2026

Susan Flavin and Marc Meltonville will present a screening of Drunk? Adventures in Sixteenth-Century Brewing as part of the 8th Annual Beer Culture Summit, hosted by the Beer Culture Center in Chicago. The research-based film, produced within the ERC-funded FoodCult project, documents the reconstruction of Irish beer brewed at Dublin Castle in 1574, following the process from archival research through brewhouse practice to laboratory analysis. Susan and Marc will join live for discussion and audience Q&A following the screening. The session takes place on Friday 8 May, 11:00am–12:00pm CST, and is free and open to the public via Zoom.
